JAKARTA - Some time ago, Linktree, a service created a personalized website page and accommodated all important links introducing a new feature, named Payment Lock.

Payment Lock is an additional support for creators who want to easily monetize the content they generate.

This feature allows you to create a paid link. This feature is a key that a document link can add and every visitor who wants to view the content must pay for exclusive access.

After visitors buy your document link, they will be able to access the content directly on your Linktree. In addition, they will also receive a copy of the link to their email address so they can see your documents whenever they want.

"Payment Lock on your link is a great option to sell your latest ebook or bulletin, or any other document you want to include in your Document Link," the company said in an announcement found by The Verge.

How to apply Payment Lock is quite easy, you just need to link your PayPal or Square account as a payment provider in your Linktree settings, then create a link.

You can charge any fees for access to your documents to a maximum of 150 US dollars or around Rp. 2.33 million.

Next, you will be notified via email when a follower pays for your content. The email will be sent to the address associated with the Linktree account and will include the purchase time and which document is the key.

Linktree insists that you can't sell adult content using Payment Lock. If you delete a document from your Linktree that owns Payment Lock, visitors who pay it will still have access via the email they received when completing the purchase.
