JAKARTA - Twitter's new boss, Elon Musk said he would delay the rollout of Twitter Blue verification indefinitely.

Previously, Musk had confirmed that Twitter Blue verification would return on November 29. But apparently, it should be postponed because there are still many fake accounts roaming the platform.

"The venue for the re-launch of Blue Verified has high confidence to stop imitation," Musk wrote on Twitter on Tuesday, November 22, this morning.

After taking over Twitter, Musk's first major change was to quickly introduce the ability for users to buy a blue tick via Twitter Blue.

The following days Musk said that Twitter Blue verification subscriptions for $8 (IDR 125 thousand) were terminated by fake accounts that mushroomed on Twitter.

As eh Musk has already said, this delay is also related to fake accounts. Twitter seems to be returning these subscriptions when fake accounts on its platform have disappeared, or maybe using a new verification method.

"Mungkin akan menggunakan pemeriksaan warna yang berbeda untuk organisasi daripada individual," tulis Musk lebih lanjut.

However, Musk has not disclosed further details of what and what the meaning of the different colors is said to be, considering this is still a plan.

Musk has made Twitter Blue a top priority within the company as part of his efforts to diversify the company's revenue from advertising, which he said had been experiencing "a massive decline" since he took over.
