Elon Musk Labil! Enable Three More Controversial Accounts

JAKARTA - Elon Musk is acting again. He reactivated three controversial Twitter accounts. But recently, Musk made the rules not to do that before the content moderation board was formed.

Of the three accounts, Babylon Bee is a conservative satire account, conservative writer Jordan Peterson, and comedian Kathy Griffin.

However, the decision to return the account of former President of the United States (US) Donald Trump has not been fully made. Musk said he would cancel Trump's ban, but it is not known for sure when it will take place.

It is known that, as reported by Engadget, Saturday, November 19, Babylon Bee and Peterson were banned earlier this year for violating Twitter hate speech rules that protect transgender people.

Meanwhile, Griffin, was banned for responding to a messy launch of payments for Twitter verification posing as Musk.

According to Musk, the decision to cancel the ban on the three controversial accounts was part of Freedom Friday.

And of course, it also goes against Musk's previous promise to form a content moderation board before canceling a ban or making significant content decisions.

The content moderation board should ensure that Twitter's policies reflect various points of view. Furthermore, the founder of SpaceX and Tesla said some content would still be subject to strict restrictions.

Hate speech and other negative tweets will be eliminated optimally and demonetized. While this does not apply to all accounts, it will make offensive tweets invisible unless users look for them, and will prevent Twitter from earning revenue from the material.

Musk said free speech on Twitter does not mean freedom to reach. In other words, Musk may still want to suppress harmful content, even though the creator is now allowed on its platform.
