JAKARTA - Microsoft has published its first Xbox transparency report, which was issued to demonstrate the company's commitment to protecting players and moderating content on the platform.

"The issuance of this report is part of our long-term commitment to online security, tackling learning and doing more to help people understand how to play a positive role in the Xbox community," said Dave McCarthy, CVP of the report's Xbox Screening Service.

The report reveals that the company has issued more than 4.33 million 'proactive affirmation' or taken action without a user report against a fake account in the first half of 2022.

That number represents 57 percent of enforcement measures over a span of six months, and Microsoft has seen a ninefold jump in their number of proactive efforts when compared to the same period last year.

Xbox itself means that the fake accounts in question are usually automatic accounts or accounts created by bots to create unbalanced playing fields and can reduce the experience of players who are positive.

Previously, Microsoft devoted most of its actions to'reactive recitation' (actions taken due to reporting on other players). Last year, Microsoft had carried out reactive enforcement to 2.24 million players. While proactive action was only 461,000.

Furthermore, the company revealed that players had provided more than 33 million reports of toxic players in this period, with communication (46 percent) and behavior (43 percent) being most of the players' concerns.

Fortunately, based on what Microsoft described, the overall incident in this period appears to be less than two years ago. Because in the last half of 2020, Microsoft received 59.65 million reports.

In addition, Microsoft says that you can expect the latest Xbox transparency reports every six months, from now onwards.
