JAKARTA - After passing preliminary testing some time ago, now Pinterest's new collage maker app, Shuffles is available to the wider community.

Pinterest's move is pretty neat to roll out this kind of app, as many teens use it to create aesthetic collages on their TikTok, or share it privately with friends or the Shuffles community.

This caused Shuffles to soar into the Lifestyle No. 1 on the United States (US) App Store last August. The company said Shuffles had seen around 607,000 installations worldwide to date.

The Shuffles app itself is used specifically to create collages using its own Pinterest photo library or by taking photos of the objects they want to include with their cell phone cameras.

Pinterest is also building technology that allows users to crop objects from their own photos, their Pinterest boards or by looking for new Pins. It works similar to the iOS 16 image cut feature, where users can copy and paste objects from photos to other apps.

Shuffles makes this cutting process a little easier because it automatically identifies objects in photos to be available for paste to collage.

Launching TechCrunch, Friday, November 11, users can also choose to add effects and moves to the image. This effect can also be applied to individual items.

For your information, the application itself was built by the Two Twenty Pinterest team, whose goal is to encourage more internal experiments on social networks and increase the speed of innovation.

The team was also behind the launch of Pinterest's live shopping feature, Pinterest TV. Shuffles, however, was the first independent app to emerge from the group.

However, the Shuffles app is only dedicated to iOS users and will be available in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. It is not known for sure whether it will also be available to Android users.
