China Plans To Send Monkeys To The Space Station In Reproduction Experiments

JAKARTA - China is reportedly planning to send monkeys to the Tiangong space station, which will soon be completed. The goal is to learn how the animal grows and breeds in an environment without gravity.

Scientists at the Chinese Academy of Sciences named Zhang Lu, as well as lead the development of scientific equipment for Tiangong, said the experiment would be carried out in Wentian.

Wegtian is the largest module in Tiangong which is specifically used for experiments in the science of life.

Later, the monkeys will be placed in two biological test cabinets. Although currently the cupboard can only accommodate fish or▁gelombangs, Lu stated that it can be expanded and reconfigured.

After studying smaller creatures, Lu stated that China would conduct several studies involving mice and monkeys.

"This is done to see how they grow or even reproduce in space. This experiment will help improve our understanding of organism adaptation to microgravity and other extraterrestrial environments," Lu said as quoted by SCMP, Saturday, November 5.

Several simpler organisms, including Japanese nematodes and rice fish, have been observed proliferating in space.

Previously, Soviet scientists also conducted experiments on mice to marry during the 1979 space flight, but none of them gave birth after being returned to Earth.

In other words, making a monkey reproduce on a space station is not easy. Launching Futurism, dealing with living things in space can pose a big challenge.

"Astrogints will need to feed them and deal with their waste," said a professor at the medical faculty at Tsinghua University, Kehkooi Kee.

The rocket journey to the space station can also scare the monkeys. Then, astronauts must also keep the monkeys happy and comfortable.

According to experts, this would be challenging because if you were in a long-term confinement in a simple space habitat environment it could cause the monkey to become depressed.
