Tumblr's New Rules Allow Photos Without Clothing But Not Pornography

JAKARTA - Tumblr again allows nude or naked images on the website in updating its community guidelines.

Under his new policy, users can post nude images and videos, as well as text with adult lessons and sexual themes.

However, Tumblr still cannot allow users to post visual depictions of sexual acts explicitly or any content with an open focus on genitals.

On the Community Guidelines page, Tumblr explains that what is meant by visual depictions are images, videos, GIFs, CGIs, and all other types of visual media.

Content with the theme of naked and sexual which is now permitted based on a new policy must also be labeled so that users can filter it.

In addition, users are also unable to post links to adult site networks. They are also not allowed to post images of violence or any content promoting pedophilia, including pictures of children when their blog intended to lead to sexual direction.

Any blog that violates these rules will be removed. Tumblr also acknowledged that the new guidelines were incomplete and further decisions were in the company.

Launching Engadget, Friday, November 4, Tumblr changed very large in 2018 after starting to block all adult content, reportedly due to images of child sexual abuse posted on the website.

Due to this, the platform removed many blogs and sex communities from complying with its new rules, and its decreasing community has not recovered since.

Tumblr is one of the few sites that not only tolerates but appears to embrace the sex worker community and adult artists, thus gaining a lot of criticism.

Earlier in September this year, he launched a Community Label with the category of sexual themes, hinting they would relax the rules and would allow some adult content on the website again.
