JAKARTA - In the midst of the excitement of the Twitter takeover by Elon Musk, before that, the social media platform had temporarily suspended paid tickets to listen to Spaces live.

A Twitter spokesperson confirmed the truth to The Information saying: "We have stopped testing Ticketed Spaces indefinitely so we can focus on continuing to improve and bring new features to Spaces' core experiences."

Several other users also said the same thing, where they no longer have the option to add tickets to direct conversations in their Spaces.

This paid ticket was announced last August. Three months later Twitter launched an exclusive Spaces feature for paid followers or so-called Super Follows. Then in May this year, Super Follows was launched globally.

Based on reports that VOI has previously shared, this feature is a new way for user accounts with Super Follows to offer extra conversations to their biggest supporters.

Global users on iOS and Android can join and request to talk on Super Follows-only Spaces, while subscribers on Twitter's web platform can join and listen, but have no option to ask for a talk.
