JAKARTA The founder and creator of Polkadot (DOT), Gavin Wood, recently decided to leave his post from the CEO of the Polkadot network infrastructure provider, Parity Technologies. Even so, the figure who participated in establishing Ethereum did not completely leave the company.

Along with the decision, Wood also revealed that the CEO position is only temporary and cannot help him find true happiness. "The role of the CEO has never been one I aspire to," Wood said in a statement about the transition on Friday.

"I could be a CEO well enough for a while, but that's not where I'll find lasting happiness," he added.

His decision to leave the position of CEO will make him more focused on the latest blockchain coding and web3 technology development. He also said he would direct his focus on making Polkadot and Web 3 more accessible to the general public.

Another co-founder of Parity, Bj Midner Wagner will fill the vacant position of CEO of the company Wood left. He previously served as CCO of the company before finally replacing Wood who resigned his post.
