YOGYAKARTA - The issue of metaverse popularity has been observed to decline towards the end of 2022. Although, previously the metaverse was referred to as the next Ybig thing, which is a new technology that will really change the lives of world citizens. Furthermore, Pieter is optimistic about the future of the metaverse. Including Indonesia. He said the process of entering the metaverse had already taken place in Indonesia.

In terms of infrastructure, we collaborate with various parties, including the Ministry of Communication and Information, which builds two submarine cables. If that happens, 70% of Indonesia's internet capacity will increase. We have 5-10 years for the metaverse," Pieter said.

However, Pieter does not deny that the current metaverse is still quite expensive. This is because the industry is still developing further to make metaverse technology more mature.

Now the equipment and everything is expensive. But later there will be an adoption rate, here the technology is starting to mature, where the factory will enter the industry and in the end the price will also drop so that there will be affordability," he concluded.
