Kominfo Promises Massive And Medium Digital Infrastructure Development

JAKARTA - The Indonesian government continues to ensure fair development in accordance with the vision and mission of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet (KIM), by building a massive and equitable digital infrastructure.

"In a difficult situation, under the strong leadership of President Jokowi and Vice President, cooperation with assistants to the President, ministers and institutional leaders accelerate infrastructure development to reach all regions of the country," said the Minister of Communication and Information, Johnny G. Plate in a distributed release, quoted Friday, October 21.

Johnny said that digital infrastructure development is an important aspect in the implementation of KIM's vision. Therefore, Johnny continued, the Ministry of Communication and Information will continue to ensure digital connectivity reaches all regions in Indonesia.

" upstream digital infrastructure such as fiber optics, backbone, middle mile, satellite, microwave link, physical and digital base transceiver station (BTS) continues to reach our society to equalize development and development with justice," he said.

Meanwhile, at another event, the Head of the Sub-Directorate of Ecosystems and Utilization of ICT, Bappenas, Andianto Haryoko said that the government through Kominfo had carried out special activities to reach digital infrastructure in remote areas.

"There have been special activities from Kominfo to ensure equal distribution of access in all regions in Indonesia. There are several commitment initiatives to provide internet access," Andi said at the "Digital Grounds: Towards A Green Digital Economy" event in Jakarta, on Thursday, October 20.

Not only in terms of infrastructure, but the government also continues to provide digital literacy to all Indonesian people to improve their digital skills.

"The government is initiating to provide digital teaching, which is expected to be able to increase digital literacy. And will be carried out until the next medium and long term," he concluded.
