JAKARTA - Facebook now allows users to customize their Feeds view by presenting more View options or Show less than friends, group and page posts.

So, if the user selects the Show more option, then that option will increase the post rating score for a while, and if you select the Show option less, the user will lower the post rating.

According to a Facebook spokesperson to TechCrunch quoted Thursday, October 6, later the choices that users make will affect posts they see for 60 days.

The company says this time frame aims to keep up with changes in the user preferences. Because currently, the Facebook app only allows users to hide posts from people they follow or suggest.

"(The Feeds rating) makes our artificial intelligence system smarter and more responsive," Facebook said in its official blog.

In addition, Facebook is also testing a new setting where users can adjust how much content they see on their Feeds directly from the accounts of friends, family, groups, pages and community leaders connected to them.

For example, users can choose to see the number of posts more from their friends and family, but choose to less see posts from the followed pages and public figures.

"A feature like this can help you find more valuable content for you, so you can see more what you want and less than what you don't want," explains Facebook.

"As with every product change we make, we will use direct feedback to continue to improve our approach," he added.

The presence of these changes is likely Facebook is looking for ways to address complaints from users who say their Feeds are filled with too many posts that they don't really care about.

This new setting will help solve the problem and give users more control over the content that appears in their Feeds.

However, rumors circulated that Facebook may want to better train its algorithms to learn which posts and Reels people really want to see, especially as its parent company Meta competes with TikTok, best known for its reliable algorithms.
