Microsoft Separate SwiftKey's Keyboard From Apple

JAKARTA - After more than a year without an update, SwiftKey Microsoft's keyboard will officially be removed from Apple's Apple-owned online store, the App Store.

Microsoft plans to delete it after October 5, but currently the keyboard will continue to work for those who still use it.

"Starting October 5, support for Swift Key iOS will expire and will be removed from the Apple App Store. Microsoft will continue support for Swift Key Android as well as basic technology that supports the Windows touch keyboard," a Microsoft spokesperson told ZDNet, Thursday, September 29.

"For customers who install Swift Key on iOS, it will continue to function until it is deleted manually or the user gets a new device. Please visit Support.SwiftKey.com for more information," he added.

Unfortunately, the company has not provided any reason regarding the termination of the Switzerland operation on iOS.

However, speculation strengthened Apple's reluctance to grant developers access to certain parts of iOS, similar to how Apple refused to help Microsoft make friends with the iPhone Link app with the iPhone.

Many users agree that the keyboard made by third parties on iOS has not had anything special since 2014. So, it's no surprise that Microsoft is reluctant to continue investing in Swift Key for iOS going forward.
