Nissan Electric Van, All-New Townstar Ready For Production In France

JAKARTA - A few days after the celebration of the world's EV day, Nissan announced that she would start production of its commercial electric van, the 100% new Nissan Townstar in Europe.

Representing Nissan's ambitions in 2030, availability in the all-new Townstar EV market marks the latest milestone in the company's efforts to contribute to carbon neutrality goals by 2050.

The Townstar EV builds on the success of the e-NV200. Coming from Nissan's Electric Light Commercial Vehicle (e-LCV) expertise, which is designed with capabilities, reliability, and sustainability, taking into account business owners.

"Coinciding with World EV Day, the start of our all-new EV Townstar production was designed to meet the needs of our customers and the increasing demand for sustainable powertrain solutions," said Emmanuel Serazin, LCV & Corporate Sales Director, Nissan Europe in an official statement at West Way Nissan.

This all-new Townstar EV is planned to be produced at the center of Alliance's advantage for a small van in Maubeuu, France, with an optimized powertrain view with intelligent energy management and battery thermal cooling.

The company also claims that the Townstar EV is capable of reaching a superior range of up to 300 km (WLTP illustration). With a 45 kWh Townstar EV battery, you can receive AC charging (11 kW or 22 kW).

Nissan Townstar EV is equipped with a 45 kWh battery and a WLTP range of up to 300 km (186 miles).

This Van has an onboard three phase 11 kW or 22 kW, as well as a CCS2 charging entry channel for fast charging of up to 80 kW, which allows users to charge batteries from 15% to 80% in just 37 minutes.
