JAKARTA - Two research results on the membrane reactor by the Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) team led by Prof. Muthia Elma managed to pass the selection of the patent application for assistance assistance fee and substantive examination of superior patents with the potential for Intellectual Property (UBER-KI). "Alhamdulillah, the results of the selection of both state universities and private universities in Indonesia, we have passed two research titles to obtain 2022 Kemendikbudristek funding," said Muthia in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, Saturday, September 3 to Antara. Muthia and 120 participants who successfully passed the selection have participated in assisting the UBER-KI draft by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Law and Human Rights in Jakarta organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The title of the simple patents Reactor of Multi-Saluranking with the Waters of Silang and Reaktor of Counter-Electrally Rebranded Electronic Analysis Using Election Tembaga proposed by Prof. Muthia in the UBER-KI program is the result of research by Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) S-1 Chemical Engineering students, the Faculty of Engineering ULM and members of M2Renewials and Membranes and Research Group) namely Dwi Reksa Lamandau, Siti Fatimah, Zaini Lambri Assyaifi, and Aulia Rahma under the guidance of Prof. Muthia Elma himself. The patent with the title Rea Multi-Salur Reaktor With a Watershed is a series of tools specifically designed by Prof. Muthia to be applied in the treatment of clean water. Meanwhile, the Reaktor Reaktor of Counter-Electral Analysis Using Tembaga is a tool intended to generate electricity from salted swampwater using membranes. Professor of Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of ULM Engineering is known to have expertise in the field of membranes, especially for water treatment.

Muthia said the preparation of a patent draft was also supported by several research grant activities funded by the Directorate of Research and Service to the Community, the Ministry of Education and Culture and Research Prize 2021 National Battery Research Institute (NBRI) in collaboration with the Queen Marriage University of London and the British Council. UBER-KI Program is an assistance program for lecturers throughout Indonesia in the form of providing training on patent writing, guidance and consultation of making patent applications documents by a team of experts, as well as funding assistance by the Directorate of Research, Technology and Service to the Community, Directorate General of Education and Culture, Ministry of Education and Culture. Through the UBER-KI program held once a year, it can help academics and researchers to get protection for Intellectual Property Rights (HKI), especially patents and simple patents from the results of research and service to the people that have been carried out.
