JAKARTA - The government continues to report virtual technology, seen from the efforts of the Director General of Applications and Informatics (Dirjen Aptika) of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemenkominfo) Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan, who mentioned that Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) training can build a more optimal digital talent ecosystem in Indonesia. "This program will build and strengthen ecosystems, especially in improving people's digital skills. One of them can enter the Go Online MSME program," Semuel said at the launch of the Virtual Learning Academy in Nusa Dua, Bali, Saturday, September 3, as quoted by Antara. The Virtual Learning Academy program was initiated by the Ministry of Communication and Information together with Meta Indonesia, also known as the Meta Immersive Learning Academy (MILA). According to Semuel, the technology learning that opens gates to the metaverse can be studied by many people, starting from MSME players and can even be included in national digital talent programs such as Digital Talent Scholarship (DTS). "This can be a provision in the digital era, therefore I appreciate it because it can enrich our ecosystem and digital talent," said Semuel.

Meanwhile, Meta's Public Policy Manager in Indonesia, Noudhy Valdryno, said that with the Virtual Learning Academy, Indonesia could fill the metaverse market in the future. As for what is learned in the Virtual Learning Academy, one of them is the creation of AR filters and the development of the latest VR technologies. "We believe that in the metaverse era, we will need more creators to be able to advance and position Indonesia and we are not only a market but also an actor (player). We can become important actors," said Noudhy. For the virtual Learning Academy learning curriculum in Indonesia, Meta collaborates with Hacktiv8 which is a technology-focused educational institution. Previously, both of them had collaborated in the AR creator development program called "Metaviolution with Spark AR".
