JAKARTA - YouTube is working on a new feature that allows creators to promote its channels and content without having Google Ad Managers.
Launching from the YouTube support page, the company owned by Google is currently testing a new "Promotion" tab on YouTube Studio which is claimed to make it easier to purchase ads for creators.
"We've heard that content creators want more tools to help develop their channels and reach a wider audience, so we're testing a simpler overall workflow at Studio, not through Google Ads," wrote one YouTube team.
The company says that this experiment is done on a limited basis. YouTube only tested it on some creators on the selected desktop. They will see a new "Promotion" tab on the Content Studio page.
Like other tests, it's not yet known whether YouTube will expand the new tab to all content creators globally, so let's look forward to more information.
Furthermore, based on a video posted on YouTube Creator Insider, a Lewis policy analyst revealed that YouTube provides the ability for creators to see the main metrics in the YouTube app.
Previously, creators only made it possible to view metrics about videos, Shorts, and live streams of the Studio app. But now, they can see this metric from the main YouTube apps on iOS and Android.
The goal is, with this new addition, it can help content creators understand how one type of content performs compared to the others on their channel.
YouTube also brings the ability for creators to schedule, manage or edit live and upcoming mobile streaming in Live Control and YouTube Studio Rooms.
