JAKARTA - In June, Google announced that it was improving the Google Duo experience to include all the features of Google Meet and unifying our two video calling services into one solution.

Now, this merger has been rolled out completely in its entirety. This upgrade provides access to new features such as scheduling and joining meetings, virtual backgrounds, chat in meetings and more, in addition to your current video calling features.

In the meeting feature, you can start a call directly with all your colleagues. From there, you can change the virtual background, or add virtual effects there.

Not only that, Google also provides a direct sharing feature from Google Meet, which allows all meeting participants to share their content with all members in the meeting room.

Interestingly, prior to this improvement, in Google Meet we could only share screens. But now, you can watch shared videos from YouTube, create playlists on Spotify, or take turns playing games like Up!, UNO! Mobile or Kahoot!

In the past few weeks, Google has started rolling out this Google Duo upgrade to all users.

For those of you who have already received this update, you will see their app icon change and the app name to 'Meet'.
