Steam Adds Support For Nintendo Joy-Con Controllers, Here's How To Use It

JAKARTA - Good news for all PC gamers. Valve has finally added support for Nintendo Joy-Con controllers on Steam for all of its players.

As reported by PCGamer, Valve re-released and updated Steam on August 5 yesterday. In its announcement, the company said that the Steam update will support Nintendo Joy-Con controllers.

According to information provided by Valve, players can use the Joy-Con controllers either individually as a mini-gamepad or in pairs.

Not only that, it turns out that Steam has also included improved support for Nintendo Online classic controllers.

Please note, before using Joy-Con support on Steam, you must opt-in to the latest Steam beta update, that is, you must opt-in to the Steam Client Beta first.

To do this, go to the Steam Client Beta > click Steam > select Settings > then go to the Account tab, and in the "Beta Participation" section, click Change. Click the drop-down menu and select "Steam Beta Update". After that, restart your Steam.

According to IGN's notes, Steam does support a wide variety of controllers whether it's wireless or wired, but until then, there's been no way to connect the Joy-Con to a PC setup, so you'll have to use bluetooth.

On the other hand, Nintendo has acquired the CG animation studio Dynamo Pictures. In addition, the game company purchased 100% of Dynamo Pictures and changed its name to Nintendo Pictures Co., Ltd.

With the acquisition, Nintendo aims to develop visual content using the Nintendo IP, and the deal is expected to close on October 3.
