Helping People With Disabilities Continue To Work, Artnme Organizations Raise Funds Through NFT

JAKARTA -There are many ways to help people with disabilities. The Artnme organization raises funds both conventionally and through modern methods, making the work of people with disabilities in the form of NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens). Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko and a number of celebrities also gave their support.

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency, Indonesia's population currently reaches more than 278 million people and the number of people with disabilities reaches 30 million people or about 14.2 percent of the total population.

This is a large number of people and must be accounted for. There is a group of people who care about people with disabilities, but on average they only help in one or two specific events.

However, there are also those who provide assistance, but that does not leave an lasting effect.

According to Rainier Wardhana Hardjanto, founder of the foundation for assisting persons with disabilities, Artnme, the current model of assistance only revolves around: affection, collecting aid, events, ending, repeating again. so on.

"With this model, people with disabilities do not get knowledge that they can develop according to their competence," Rainier said in his writing received by VOI.

This is the reason why Rainier formed the Artnme organization. Not only does it provide assistance, but this organization tries to build the confidence of persons with disabilities through art that can be developed at home or in an orphanage.

"As the founder of Artnme, I make recommendations to every orphanage and partner we foster, so that these children receive attention and training in the right methods so that their talents and potential are honed, and we help sell and market their work to the general public, " he added.

Over time, Artnme is known to be more widespread and giving, and Artnme's concern for children with disabilities has received positive responses from various groups, they have received assistance worth Rp. 460 million which has been distributed to those in need.

Rainier said that the funds were obtained from fundraising at several events they organize. Now Artnme has many partners, and is also starting to innovate in service development, by implementing NFT Charity.

"NFT Charity itself is intended to sell products from friends with disabilities who are sold by making their products as NFT, then marketed. Of course, sales are 100% theirs. That's what NFT Charity is about," said Rainier.

Furthermore, he revealed that the advantage of NFT is the existence of certificates of authenticity in the blockchain network, and predicts that NFT will be the future for both the technology world and the art world.

The price of works for guaranteed authenticity in the form of NFT is also very expensive. In fact, for each NFT concept, the artist who prints his work can determine the royalties for his work.

"This means that if someone buys his work, then one day the buyer sells his work to someone else, the artist will get royalty money as much as the percentage he made at the beginning," he said.

This social action with the NFT Artnme model is supported by a row of Indonesian artists such as Raffi Nagita, Titi Kamal, Erin Taulany, Vega Darwanti, Sinyorita, Selvy Kitty, Gritte Agatha, Sarwendah, Maria Vania, Reisa Brotoasmoro, and Nindy Ayunda. Symbolic support was also given by the Chief of Presidential Staff of the Republic of Indonesia (KSP) General Dr. Moeldoko on January 31, 2022.
