JAKARTA - The new Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan gave a positive statement regarding crypto assets. In his official statement, the Ministry of Trade will always adapt to the trend of the digital economy ecosystem and will prepare regulations so that crypto asset investment is safe.

This is a breath of fresh air for the crypto industry. In the last two years, the investment growth of crypto assets has been very fast. As the largest and oldest exchange in Indonesia, which has been around for eight years, Indodax welcomed the plan of the Minister of Trade.

Welcoming a statement by the Trade Minister that will issue regulations for crypto investment, Indodax CEO Oscar Darmawan said that this was a good step for the advancement of industry as one of the pillars of the digital economy.

As an industry actor, Oscar is certainly open to being able to collaborate with the government in terms of education or anything with the main goal of building and advancing the crypto industry.

I think the purpose of implementing this regulation is to create protection for consumers. I hope that new regulations will also not burden any party, be it industry players or investors," explained Oscar.

Oscar hopes that this regulation will make it easier for crypto futures exchanges that have been formed with other industrial friends to be ratified as a complete Indonesian crypto ecosystem and can increasingly support the digital economy.
