JAKARTA During Square Enix's 25th anniversary celebration for Final Fantasy, the studio revealed a trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake part 2, entitled Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. The second part of the Final Fantasy VII series is slated by the studio for release next winter of 2023.

Final Fantasy VII remake project producer Yoshinori Kitase revealed that the series will eventually feature three full games.

Specifically, the trilogy will consist of the Final Fantasy VII Remake already released on PS5 and Steam namely Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and one final game.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth continues the story of Final Fantasy Remake, and takes Cloud and the party out of Midgar to a wider world. Like the previous game, the developer is reimagining the story of Final Fantasy VII to be more iconic and modern.

Square Enix hasn't shared details on Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but they promise there will be more to share in the future.

Currently Final FantasyVII Rebirth is being designed so that people can enjoy the game whether they know the original game or not.

"In fact, new players might even enjoy starting their Final Fantasy VII journey with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth," said directors Tetsuya Nomura, Naoku Hamaguchi and Producers Yoshinori Kitase.
