JAKARTA - At the WWCD 2022 event, Apple announced the presence of iOS 16 for its smartphones. iOS 16 hasn't been officially released yet, and a public beta version of iOS 16 will be coming in July. The full rollout is likely to happen between September and October.

WWCD 2022 also announced lots of new feature enhancements to give you a better experience using Apple.

Previously, VOI has summarized some of the new features of iOS 16, such as Lock Screen updates, Live Text, Apple Wallet, and many others. However, there are several more features that are no less useful, here are five of them.

Live Activities

Apple says that the Live Activities feature will come with the iOS 16 update. Live Activities are useful for tracking live events or other tasks, such as following game scores, tracking Uber ride progress, monitoring the status of food or drink orders, viewing timers, and much more. .

Edit or Cancel Send iMessage

Apple brings improvements to iMessage. You will be able to edit or cancel the message by simply tapping and holding the bubble and selecting the appropriate option in the menu that appears.

Next, the edited iMessage will be marked as "edited" below the message bubble. However, for users who are still using iOS 15 later, edited or unsent messages will still be visible in their original form.

Nintendo Joy-con support

iOS 16 was announced to support Nintendo Switch controllers and Joy-Cons. Currently, the controller is customizable in the Bluetooth menu of the Settings app in iOS 16, and it's only available in beta for developers.

Apple Pay order tracking

Apple Pah in iOS 16 allows you to track orders you've ordered that you've created the Wallet app and paid for using Apple Pay. This tracking will provide an estimated delivery date of the order and indicate when the package will be dispatched.

Fitness App without Apple Watch

The Fitness app will be available on iPhone for users without an Apple Watch, starting with iOS 16. The app will display a Daily Activity ring that relies on the iPhone's motion sensor to estimate a person's calories burned and steps per day.
