JAKARTA - A few days ago TikTok launched its own avatar creation tool. Users can turn themselves into custom animated avatars.
These avatars can be created by TikTok users in the style of Apple Memoji, Snapchat Bitmoji, and Meta Avatars. The feature can be accessed from the app's camera along with various other TikTok effects via the Effects panel.

Open the TikTok app. Tap the Post button at the bottom of the screen. Select an effect on the left. Tap the Search icon and type "Avatar" in the Search bar. Then select the TikTok avatar.You will now see a slide with the available avatar presets on the screen. Here, you have to select +New, and choose the one you think is very similar to yours. Since TikTok doesn't have the option to start with a blank canvas, the preset you choose will be your starting point.
You can save avatar effects for quick access by tapping the Bookmarks icon above + New.
