JAKARTA - Popular brewer Budweiser has teamed up with Zed Run to deploy tokenized Clydesdale-designed horses in NFT-based virtual horse racing and betting games.

The latest move from Budweiser adds to the $120,000 spent on non-exchangeable token fan art and beer.eth domain names purchased through Ethereum Name Service in August 2021.

Zed Run was founded by Sydney-based Virtually Human Studio in early 2019, and its racehorse NFTs initially cost around $30 to $80, but have since become a highly sought-after asset and even traded for thousands of dollars on the secondary market, now the price is soaring. Even a user was able to sell one racehorse token for 125,000 US dollars (Rp 1.8 billion) in April 2021.

As part of the deal with Zed Run, the two companies will launch a Budweiser-themed race track, NFT Budweiser tickets, a prize pool for a Bud-sponsored virtual horse race starting at $45,000, and three tiers of NFT Clydesdale-derived skins. air that can be used in Zed Run.

The Budweiser Clydesdales are a well-known group of horses used for company promotions and advertisements, when the brewer is a major sponsor of horse racing events around the world.

There will be a total of 2,500 Budweiser NFT Passes to be sold (for users aged 21 and over) for a maximum of 24 hours starting Friday 10 June. NFT will cost you US$225 per pop, plus gas costs.

Zed Run will host two Budweiser Racing Challenges in July and September. Both will have a prize pool of $45,000. There will also be a $95,000 tournament in December that will also offer the chance to win a year's supply of Budweiser beer.

The duo launched three different versions of the NFT horse racing skins in varying amounts: 1,600 Classic Clydesdales, 800 Bud Bottle Clydesdales, and 100 Gold Clydesdales.

Once all tournaments are complete, the project will also offer prizes to anyone who burns their NFT Budweiser pass. However, the specifications have not been revealed.

Zed Run also allows users to bet on virtual races, trade NFTs, and breed new racehorses by mating stallions with mares.
