JAKARTA - Recently, Kaspersky Safe Kids released its latest research on the programs that are most popular and watched by children in the period March to May 2022.

The research shows that for a popular show, Will Smith's globally famous Oscar slap catches the attention of children and is widely discussed throughout the spring. In addition, the divorce proceedings of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, and speculation about celebrity couple Spiderman, Zendaya and Tom Holland, are trending pop culture topics.

The game segment also saw some minor changes over the spring. One interesting case is that the game The Backrooms has become a popular game among children in recent months. Meanwhile, the game 'Among US' has seen a decline over the past few months, with almost all children losing interest in it.

In the most popular music segment on YouTube, the song 'That That' by Korean soloist PSY and collaborating with SUGA from the BTS group became music that many children listened to. While in the film category, 'The Bad Guys', 'Sonic the Hedgehog 2', 'Rock Dog 2' and 'Heartstopper' became the most watched films.

Make cybersecurity conversations more fun and interesting by discussing it with your children through games and other entertaining ways. Spend more time communicating with your children about online safety measures. Take a look at your own habits. Do you use your smartphone while eating or chatting? See if there's a pattern for kids to copy your habits? Do they react in a different way when you put your phone away? Ask your child to disapprove of any privacy settings and seek your help instead. Adults should make it a habit to read all privacy agreements.
