JAKARTA - Google announced that they are rolling out two new features for YouTube Music on Wear OS watches, on Tuesday, May 17.

This week you'll be able to stream music over LTE or WiFi, so you can listen to your favorite playlists wherever you go, even when your phone isn't nearby.

The second feature is, the addition of new YouTube Music tiles. You'll be able to add new YouTube Music tiles to your watch.

This addition allows you to find quick access to recently played playlists or to the YouTube Music app explore page.

"As a YouTube Music Premium subscriber, you'll have access to over 80 million songs and thousands of playlists on your YouTube Music app," said Community Manager Amin F.

Amin also said this standalone app is the first smartwatch app from YouTube Music that allows YouTube Music Premium subscribers to download and stream music for ad-free listening, even without a phone near you."

The app also comes with a Smart Download feature, which is useful for refreshing the songs you've downloaded to your watch whenever it's connected to WiFi.

The app will even offer customized playlists based on your listening history, so you can choose the perfect soundtrack for whatever you're doing.

For the record, Amin added, for those using a cellular connection, you need an LTE plan from your network provider. Mobile streaming is not supported on iOS.
