JAKARTA - Snapchat has just introduced a new suite of editing tools for its content creators dubbed Director Mode.

Director Mode offers a new set of camera features and editing tools within the app to make videos look better than ever.

"We believe this will be a game changer for content creators capturing the moments around them. For the first time without any special camera tricks or secondary apps, creators can capture their reactions and 360 perspectives," Snapchat said in an official statement.

With this new feature, content creators can create smoother content than is currently possible with Snapchat's in-app camera.

Launching 9to5Mac, Friday, April 29, the new tools include green screen features like TikTok that rely on Snapchat's huge library of augmented reality (AR) lenses.

Apart from that, there are also new camera controls, including the ability to simultaneously record from the front and rear cameras, similar to the once popular Frontback app.

There's also a new quick edit tool to change multiple shots at once, and a new way to boost or slow down a video. Later Director Mode can also help encourage creators to create content in Spotlight, the hub of apps for short-form videos like TikTok.

The feature can also help Snap Stars, the term public and verified accounts, to create more engaging content on their Stories. This is likely useful as Snap also recently introduced a new revenue-sharing feature for Snap Stars with ads.

Furthermore, the application with the yellow logo is also further developing its AR shopping feature, by adding a new section of the application called Dress Up. Users can try using the product thanks to AR effects.
