JAKARTA – The Shiba Inu meme coin is rumored to be soon available at a number of crypto ATMs in the United States (US). Crypto ATM operator, Bitcoin of America, announced that SHIB will be available for purchase in a number of places in the US.
According to U.Today, the company activated Shiba Inu support earlier this month to please the community. Prior to that, Bitcoin of America first added a rival to SHIB, namely Dogecoin (DOGE).
However, crypto ATM operators have not clarified what specific locations will be added in the near future. In January, Bitcoin of America had 1,500 Bitcoin ATMs in January. The Chicago-based company now says it has more than 2,000 locations in the US. By comparison, the company only had 630 ATMs at the start of 2021.
The company operates in nearly all major cities in 31 US states, and has plans to further expand its operations. Last May, Bitcoin of America allowed its customers to buy cryptocurrency right after removing cash from a credit/debit card with the help of its Universal Kiosk.
In other news, Media-Markt, Europe's largest electronics operator, recently announced that it will be installing Kurant Bitcoin ATMs at various branches across Austria.
