JAKARTA - Spotify is experimenting with expanding the beta test of its TikTok-style vertical scrollable "audio news feed".

Launching TechCrunch, Saturday, April 9, the feature can help users discover new songs through personalized Canvas visual loops, interesting animated loops that appear behind playback controls.

Because it is still in the trial phase, only users in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and the UK, can only try out this new Spotify feature.

With this discovery feed, Spotify promises a relatively easy way to discover new artists and songs for Android and iOS users.

Like TikTok, these songs and their accompanying Canvas loops will be presented in a vertical video feed, which was first spotted in a test run by Spotify in November last year.

The app will offer up to 15 new recommendations per day. If the user sees a track they like in this feed, the user can add the song to a playlist, follow the artist, or share it on social media.
