JAKARTA - Ubisoft recently decided to stop creating new content for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint just months after adding NFT to the game. However, the publisher has plans to generate "digits" for other titles.
Ubisoft first introduced the Quartz NFT platform in December, allowing Ghost Recon: Breakpoint players to purchase or acquire unique equipment as NFTs called "Digits".
While the game itself has stopped receiving major content updates, the service platform will continue to expand in the near future.
In a recent statement issued on the official Quartz website, Ubisoft said that they will continue to add "Digits" to future releases.

"You own a part of the game and have left your mark on its history. Since the last Digits for Ghost Recon Breakpoint was released on March 17, look forward to further updates with features to the platform and upcoming drops with other games," the caption reads.
Despite this news, the company continues to ignore player feedback and doesn't seem to be stopping its forays into the blockchain area.
As Ubisoft's VP of Strategic Innovations Lab Nicolas Pouard said last month, gamers don't understand the concept and benefits of NFT.
