JAKARTA - Meowko, a popular Twitch streamer from Japan, has reported that he was banned from the Twitch platform on his birthday for confusing reasons. The news was conveyed by Meowko through his Twitter account on Tuesday, March 29.

Twitch is one of the largest online streaming platforms in the world. However, the site is also known for its confusing and sometimes odd approach to prohibition, which can seem to strike anyone at any time.

Meowko has been attracting a lot of attention with her channel which often features gameplay and cosplay using cute costumes.

In her tweet, she explained that Twitch surprisingly banned her because she didn't change into her workout clothes before she started cooking.

“I got banned for wearing sports clothes while cooking. My D channel just did a workout at home and it made me hungry so started cooking but it seems Twitch doesn't like it,” Meowko wrote.

Even though the streamer reports having just finished training, it doesn't appear Twitch is following the transition from training to cooking. This appears to lead the site to believe that she cooks in what is thought to be a swimsuit, an activity that is prohibited.

Meowko also reported another issue that arose in his ban, namely the alleged use of augmented reality avatars. In a follow-up tweet, Meowko said that Twitch accused her of using an augmented reality avatar on the stream.

Despite Twitch's implausible reasoning, a large number of Meowko's fans replied to her tweets expressing sympathy for the ban and wishing her a happy birthday.
