JAKARTA - Since the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard in September 2021, Zombies players have been struggling to play the mode for a long time. This is due to the lack of a pause feature in the game. Now, Season 2 Reloaded has finally added the option to pause mid-game.

According to Vanguard's Season 2 Reloaded patch notes, this long-awaited pause feature allows solo players to pause up to two hours collectively in matches played on dedicated servers.

Treyarch, the developer of Call of Duty, also said the inactivity kick timer has been extended in public matches, so players can have more than enough time for a bathroom break while their teammates fight the undead.

However, after granting the fans' wish to introduce a pause feature in the game, players seem to be frustrated because the time lag is quite short.

One YouTuber Gaming from London, MrDalekJD complained about this feature via a tweet on his Twitter account. It says that players can't stop playing overnight.

“We've been waiting 5 months for a solo break in Zombies... and you can only pause 2 hours collectively in one game. You really can't stop your game overnight if you try a super high spin… how does that make sense?” he wrote.

The ability to pause solo matches for an indefinite amount of time is something that has been available in Zombies since 2008's Call of Duty: World at War. This left many players confused as to why normal lags were such a big deal for Call of Duty: Vanguard.

In addition to the limited pause feature, the mid-Season 2 update for Zombies also adds two new Covenants and a Sacrifice objective. Additionally, Warzone's mid-season update added special events and major map changes to the Island of Rebirth.
