JAKARTA - Microsoft has announced a new spring-themed Xbox controller that's just starting in the Northern Hemisphere. This new Xbox controller is made by a Microsoft partner and not by Microsoft itself.

"The design team for Xbox has collaborated closely with our partners at PowerA, OtterBox, and 8BitDo to create a unique selection of pastels that embody the fun and imagination that Springtime brings," Microsoft wrote in a statement, Tuesday, March 22.

The Spring 2022 collection includes controllers from PowerA, OtterBox, and 8BitDo. The gamepad is meant to capture the feeling and tone of "the fun and imagination that Springtime brings."

PowerA Controller

A beautifully designed controller that brings a pastel touch to enhance your game settings. They feature two fully workable Advanced Game Buttons on the back that let you program important in-game actions at any time, even in the middle of a game.

The controllers can vibrate, and they use a 3.5mm stereo headset jack and feature volume buttons, and a one-touch microphone mute. This is a wired controller and comes with a 10-foot long cable.

The PowerA controller is compatible with Xbox One, Series X|S, and PC, and there are five pastel colors to choose from for $38 each.

  • Lavender Swirl – dazzling, swirling, psychedelic goodness.
  • Cotton Candy Blue – a sweet sensation inspired by the sweetest childhood treats.
  • Pink Lemonade – an icy, refreshing design to brighten up any gaming session.
  • Purple Camo – pastel purple blends with rough camo.
  • Pastel Dream – a soothing fade that turns even the most stressful sessions into a seamless symphony of gaming prowess.

The next product is not the controller itself but the shell controller of OtterBox. New here is the Lilac Dream color, which has a purple and pink handle and a clear shell.

Grips can be exchanged or disassembled for cleaning. The new Lilac Dream color retails for $40, and is available from the Microsoft Store and other retailers around the world.
