JAKARTA - During the Virtua Fighter eSports Challenge Cup streaming on March 20, 2022, Sega announced that Bandai Namco's legendary game, Tekken 7 will collaborate with Virtua Fighter 5.

One of the members of the "TEKKEN Project" team and also Tekken game commentator, Mark Julio announced the collaboration of Virtua Fighter 5 and Tekken 7 also through his Twitter account.

Based on the released short trailer, themed crossover costumes such as the Tekken characters Kazuya and Heihachi for Akira and Lau Chan, as well as the Mishima Dojo stage appear in the game as well.

This appears to be a similar endeavor to the previous update released a while back, which added Yakuza-themed cosmetics for the characters.

When it was announced late last year, 19 costumes were added to the game, as well as 20 songs from the Yakuza series. Also includes 20 songs from Virtua Fighter 3, all wrapped up in a bundle priced at $9.99.

Sega revealed, more information about the collaboration of Virtua Fighter 5 with Tekken 7 will be released in the future.
