JAKARTA - No one thought that Netflix could launch a TikTok-style comedy feed on its TV app, which was already present on the mobile app. Although still in the testing phase, the Fast Laughs feature is worth a try.

This feature allows users to filter a collection of short funny videos, each about 30 seconds or longer of shows and movies on Netflix.

With this feature, the company aims to introduce users to new content or help them decide what to watch.

This feature will only appear if the user is already part of the testing of the new feature, users can access Fast Laughs by scrolling down on the Netflix homepage until they reach the Fast Laughs line.

From there, users can click on the feature, where full-screen clips from Army of the Dead, Big Mouth, Jerry Seinfeld's stand-up specials and more appear.

Users can use the arrows on either side of the clip to advance to the next clip or return to the previous clip, and will also get the option to add titles to the List, as well as jump directly to the presented show or movie. But the new feature won't be available on kids profiles.

Launching The Verge, Wednesday, February 23, adding this feature is slowly spreading to customers in English speaking countries including the United States (US), Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

It's worth noting that, unlike Netflix's Play Something feature, which allows users to shuffle content suggestions tailored to their tastes, Fast Laughs is fully curated by Netflix staff.

That means, users won't get personalized content, and this has the potential to make browsing a bit tedious. But at the same time, algorithm-stripped Fast Laughs may well serve users to different content.

Previously, the streaming giant had rolled out its Fast Laughs feature for its mobile app featuring comedy clips from stand-up specials, TV series, and movies.

Fast Laugh on the mobile app displays full-screen vertical videos with autoplay concepts, just like watching TikTok. It lets users share their favorite content with friends and social media. The company says Fast Laughs will provide 100 funny clips per day.
