JAKARTA - On Thursday, February 17, Twitter had another problem. It was the second time they had problems in a week. The error that occurred last Friday according to the company was connected to a strange iMessage bug.
If you're using an Apple device and tweeting to your friends on an Apple device, the first and last characters in the tweet won't appear. As reported by 9to5Mac, previews of tweets sent via iMessage seem to be missing the first and last characters of the tweet, making it read oddly.
Jay Peters and other The Verge writers also encountered this bug. Here's how the Apple Messages app on my iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch displays a tweet I wrote yesterday:
Can you guess what letter is missing? Screenshot by Jay Peters / The Verge
And here's what the tweet made by Jay Peters looks like, after it was fixed:
is anybody going to ask about NFTs on this ubisoft earnings call

When reached for comment, Twitter spokeswoman Stephanie Cortez initially said the bug appeared to have been fixed, but that wasn't the case.
Cortez said the company was aware of the matter and was investigating. Luckily as of Friday night, the bug was fixed on all devices. But Apple did not reply to a request for comment on this incident.
