MIUI 13 Officially Launched, What Features Does It Bring?

JAKARTA - Towards the end of last year, Xiaomi officially announced MIUI 13 which will be released in the first quarter of this year (Q1). Now, in conjunction with the global launch of the Redmi Note 11 series of phones, the company is also rolling out its latest custom user interface for the global market.

The company announced the first phase which devices will get the update this quarter, and it also stated that the release schedule for when other devices will get the MIUI 13 update will be published on the MIUI website in stages.

Xiaomi warns that the list of supported devices does not include India-specific devices. Some India-only devices might get the update but their owners should keep an eye on the official Xiaomi India site for more information.

Also, the supported devices in the list above will get updates at different times based on the region.

Launching Gizmochina, Thursday, January 27, what's the latest in the Xiaomi user interface? MIUI 13 comes with the new MiSans font which is part of the Dynamic Font System 2.0. Similar to iOS 14, this one comes with dynamic widget support, a feature the company has been testing since August 2021.

MIUI 13 also brings Liquid Storage which will reduce fragmentation and actively manage shared data by increasing defragmentation efficiency by up to 60 percent.

There is also Atomized Memory which brings RAM efficiency. It also has Focused Algorithms for dynamically allocating system resources based on usage scenarios which helps make the interface smooth and responsive, prioritizes active applications and allows the CPU to focus on important tasks.

The Smart Balance feature is also brought by Xiaomi in MIUI 13, to automatically find a balance between performance and power consumption. This is claimed to extend battery life by up to 10 percent. With MIUI 13, Xiaomi is also more focused on user privacy.
