Governor Sutarmidji Asks The Indonesian Navy To Explore Sea Assets Owned By West Kalimantan

JAKARTA - The Governor of West Kalimantan, Sutarmidji, reminded Indonesian Navy soldiers to understand the characteristics of the assignment area and to go down and socialize a lot in order to explore the marine wealth of West Kalimantan which has not been excavated much.

"When assigned to an area, you must know the characteristics of the work area anywhere, what potential can be explored, where are the vulnerable problems and what is the cause. Therefore, it is important for soldiers to go directly to the field, interact with the community, must be able to explore everything, make our reference, so that if assigned, it will be smoother and easier," said Governor Sutarmidji in Pontianak, Thursday, October 6.

He said that when giving directions to non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel of the Indonesian Navy PK Force to the XLII Education Unit 1 of the West Kalimantan Navy Navy Navy's Education and Training Doctrine Development Command in Pontianak, reported by Antara.

As governor, he hopes that members of the Indonesian Navy can carry out their duties well in guarding the vast maritime area of West Kalimantan.

"Keep its wealth, which is very little new, can be explored or exploited. Because in the future the sea is an invaluable wealth for any country. Moreover, we control the sea, the international route through our territory," he said.

Sutarmidji also said that Indonesian Navy soldiers must understand the rules well and carry out their honorable duties.

"This soldier must understand the existing rules and not just as an executor but must understand in acting. Even though it is only NCO or Tamtama, any rules must be understood, those that are not their duties should not be implemented, must carry out their duties with honor," he said.

On that occasion, he expressed his gratitude to the Commander of the TNI AL XII/Pontianak Main Base, First Admiral Suharto La Djode, for providing opportunities and receiving more non-commissioned and enlisted personnel in West Kalimantan.

"I thank the First Admiral of the Indonesian Navy, Suharto La Djide, because as many as the year of receiving non-commissioned officers and enlisted officers from West Kalimantan, there are more and more, besides that there are no fees, then the salaries and benefits are also quite good," he said.

In addition, he hopes that Indonesian Navy soldiers from West Kalimantan can carry out their duties properly and safely, so that they can also protect the marine area in West Kalimantan which is very wide with their wealth.
