Hyundai Says 15 Models Will Be Launched In Indonesia Until 2028, Some Are CKD

JAKARTA - PT Hyundai Motor Indonesia (HMID) is not satisfied in presenting its product line for the Indonesian market, thus providing many choices for Indonesian consumers.

PT HMID's Chief Operating Officer, Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, said that his party would commit to launching around 15 new models for the Indonesian market until 2028.

"We are committed to presenting more than 15 new models in the Indonesian market in 2028," Frans said in his explanation to the media during a breaking of the fast with the media at SCBD, Jakarta, Thursday, March 20.

He said the product line is a combination of combustion engines (ICE), hybrids, and electric vehicles (EVs). However, this manufacturer from South Korea focuses on environmentally friendly products.

"We have confirmed several models, including ICE, hybrid powertrain, and EV. What we focus on is having products to be environmentally friendly," added Frans.

Frans also explained that some of these models will be assembled locally and will be exported outside Indonesia and will take advantage of the production line that Hyundai has.

Most of these products are local and export production. Why? We have assembly lines in Indonesia and will maximize them," explained Frans.

Frans also ensured that the line of models that would later be present in the Indonesian market was not only a refresher product, but also an all-new line or an addition of products for the Indonesian market.

"This amount is calculated from 2025 and not only just a refreshment, but really a new model or additional product in Indonesia," he concluded

This year, the sloping H logo manufacturer has launched a number of models such as the Creta Facelift, Venue, Staria refreshers, the addition of the Stargazer variant, and the presence of the Ioniq 5 Limited Edition following the success of the Ioniq 5 Batik model in Indonesia.
