HMID Confirms Minimum Four Models Next Year, One Present In January

PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) closed at the end of 2024 by launching an all-new Kona Electric N Line as well as being the seventh model introduced to the Indonesian market this year.

This year, the Hyundai vehicle distributor in Indonesia has launched various models consisting of all-new Kona Electric, Creta Alpha, Ioniq 5 N, all-new Santa Fe, New Economy, all-new Kona Electric N Line, and Ioniq 5 Batik.

Successfully introducing some of his new models this year, how is the next breakthrough from HMID in boosting automotive sales in 2025?

PT HMID's Chief Operating Officer, Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, confirmed that four models have been confirmed to launch next year.

"For the time being, confirmed products will be launched next year with at least four models," said Frans during an interview with the media at the Hyundai N Brand Experience Center, SCBD, Jakarta, Friday, December 13.

The man who is also familiarly called Suryo added that the latest product is a combination of a pure hybrid, EV, and combustion engine (ICE) line.

"If you ask what the powertrain is, it can be combined with hybrid, EV, or ICE. Later on, we need to adjust the timing because there are government regulations that will run," added Suryo.

In addition, he also ensured that his party would immediately launch new products in Indonesia in January next year. However, Frans did not want to reveal the details of the model.

"We will not stop issuing products because in January Hyundai will launch a new model again. Just wait for the car to know what the answer will be in one more month," he explained.

Furthermore, Frans also said that one of the many models that will be introduced next year is an 'extreme' product or that has never been launched by other brands.

"We make sure there are really new models and there are also extreme changes. Why extreme? For me it's extreme because it hasn't been done by other manufacturers or APMs," concluded Frans.
