JAKARTA - Automotive companies owned by Toyota and Daihatsu from Malaysia, Perodua are experiencing problems with oil filters on the cars they have sold. It is known, the cars affected by the problem were 40,000 units.

Datuk Seri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, as CEO of Perodua, said the issue of this oil filter is related to supply vendors. He said the components must be fixed immediately.

According to Paultan media, Wednesday, May 3, the cars affected were all units of data platform users belonging to Daihatsu DNGA, except for Aruz.

The rest, models from Perodua were affected by oil filter problems, such as Axia, Bezza, Myvi, Amiva, and Alza.

The CEO of Perodua also added that the problematic oil filters are replacement parts of different suppliers. Perodua uses two suppliers of oil filters because the production capacity is insufficient by one supplier.

Customers who experience this problem can file a guarantee claim by replacing the oil filter component without being charged.

Zainal Abidin also said that his party was discussing with several oil filter maker suppliers around the world to be able to develop oil filters for models with the DNGA platform.

"We have discussed with several suppliers around the world to be able to make oil filters for the DNGA model," he concluded.
