JAKARTA - Nicko McBrain has just completed his final stage action with Iron Maiden. The memorable and touching moment occurred when the British iconist appeared in front of fans in Sao Paulo, Brazil on December 7.

A video was uploaded to Iron Maiden's official account, which features something from behind the scenes. Before boarding the stage, Nicko approached the crew and expressed entertaining thanks.

"Thank you very much for all the work you have done for us," said the 72-year-old drummer as he walked to the stage.

"And I'm sure you all know that I hate you all!" he continued with a joke tone. The crew was made to laugh even though their expression also implies emotion.

Fans shouted Nicko's name loudly and compactly. When the musician went on stage, he also posed and selfieted with Steve Harris, his tandem had been up front and behind the stage.

Meanwhile, vocalist Bruce Dickinson reminisced about their togetherness over the last 42 years. He also reminded fans that Nicko would only withdraw from the tour or live action and not leave the band.

"For 42 years, Nicko was already in this band. He was a drummer before I became a singer, he was a pilot before I became a pilot and now, he's not leaving the band, he's just not going to live with us anymore," Bruce said.

Nicko McBrain stopped on his drum for the last time, and he was seen holding back his tears. The band members took turns hugging Nicko warmly, creating a melancholic atmosphere on stage.

Furthermore, Nicko's role will be replaced by Simon Dawson, who has been a drummer for Iron Maiden several times. Fans compete to give away and appreciate Nicko's influential role so far.
