JAKARTA - Gary Holt confirmed that he was not involved in a new project led by Slayer founder guitarist Kerry King.

Leader Exodus, who spent nearly nine years on tour with Slayer, responded to questions about Kerry's new band during a meeting and greeting before a performance at Exodus' concert on November 17 at Club LA in Destin, Florida.

Speaking to MJ Tibbedeaux at the event, Gary insisted he was not at all involved in Kerry's new project.

"I haven't heard anything written. I haven't heard anything recorded. I'm not part of it. I'm too busy," Gary asserted.

The guitarist replaced Jeff Hanneman in a 2011 concert, and became Slayer's permanent guitarist two years later, while remaining a Exodus member.

Gary played on Slayer's last album, Repentless, which was released in 2015.
