Airplane Mode Introduction Through Single Perdana Titled Wait For Me

JAKARTA - After being formed in early 2023, the duo Airplane Mode group released their first single entitled Wait For Me (Please Wait for Me).

Meanwhile, the Airplane Mode consists of Arbilsan Sako alias Arbil (vocals and guitars) and Ryan Hazairin alias Ryan (drums).

Previously, Arbil was a guitarus from Night To Remember, a group from Jember produced by Piyu from Padi Reborn. They participated in an audition in Surabaya with the title Piyu Padi Search The Next Surabaya Superband.

Meanwhile, Ryan is a former drummer from Volume. Currently, he is also actively playing with Vierratale.

At first we didn't have a name for this music project. We then made a workshop at the Rintop studio where Arbil's bandmate used to be Iskandar Azis or what we usually call Kandar, who handles the music arrangement for this song," Ryan said in his statement, Friday, November 17.

Iskandar Azis' involvement in their first single was due to his activeness in the sound engineer world. Arbil felt that only Kandar was able to help produce the song.

Meanwhile, Airplane Mode chose creative pop punk as their music color, with the hope of Ryan and Arbil to give a new color in the Indonesian music industry. They also want to get out of their comfort zone and don't want to be stuck with a certain genre of music

"For the music genre, we are more Pop Punk but there are elements of Electronic Music, Indie Pop and Rock too, but we make it easier to listen," said Arbil.

Meanwhile, the song Wait For Me is a song created by Iskandar Azis which was chosen as the first single for Airplane Mode. This song tells about longing in a long distance relationship.

This inaugural single is considered to have strength in its music which has fresh notations that are easy to understand or sing.

Through this first release, Airplane Mode decided to work through independent channels. They want to produce and publish their own songs.

In the future, they plan to release several singles first and try to mix new works that are expected to be something different, including collaborating with singers, DJs or other musicians.
