Cross-generation Musician Launches KOLAGEN Album

JAKARTA - A number of Indonesian music artists from the 1980s to the 2000s released a song album titled COLLAGEN or Inter-Generation Collaboration to enliven the national record industry.

Nine songs from old musicians such as Fariz RM, Dian Pramana Poetra and Chrisye as well as a number of young singers, including Nania, Teza Sumendra, Sara Fajira, Payung Teduh or Lucky Octavian, colored the album produced by the South of Music.

Seno M Hardjo as producer of KOLAGEN, in Jakarta, Tuesday, stated that intergenerational collaboration in music is a necessity and can even become a synergy in the realm of Indonesian music.

"Through this album, we can continue to hear the hits by Fariz RM, Chrisye and Dian Pramana Poetra, as well as be able to enjoy the roles of young musicians who are the current actors for the song," he said, quoted by Antara, Tuesday.

A number of songs made on the KOLAGEN album include "Juwita" which is Chrisye's hit, packaged in the EDM (Electronic Dance Music) genre by KEVAZ Jones and sung by Sara Fajira, Nania, and Lucky Octavian.

Then megahits Among Kata sung by Composernya, Fariz Rustam Munaf with a touch of various sound design experiments Imlan Illyas Sutan Sati.

The song that had flown was brought by Elfa's Singer "My Childhood" and is now sung by Payung Teduh, Pusakata and Dian Pramana Poetra (deceased).

In addition, the "Forever" which was rearranged by the arranger Ifa Fachir was performed by two young vocalists Barsena Bestandhi and Rando Sembiring.

"This album has a vision mission, to bridge legendary musicians with a generation of young musicians after that," said Seno.
