Taylor Swift Prints Record Through Speak Now Album (Taylor's Version)

JAKARTA - Taylor Swift successfully placed her album on UK Number One for the 10th time. The total sales of the album Speak Now (Taylor's Version) outperformed the other Top 10 combined.

The Official Single chart is compiled by Official Charts Company, based on download sales, CD, disks, audio streaming, and video streaming. UK Top 40 broadcast on BBC Radio 1 and MTV, Top 100 is published exclusively on OfficialCharts.com.

Speak Now (Taylor's Version) itself was released last week, July 7, the latest work on Swift's ambitious re-recording project. This album is very special because there are 22 songs where there are also 6 songs From The Vault, featuring collaborations with Paramore's Fall Out Boy and Hayley Williams.

The term From The Vault is used by Swift to describe a collection of songs that she wrote and recorded during the initial stage of the creative process of the album, but have never been released. The songs are not put on the album, for various reasons such as time limits, personal preferences, or decisions taken by the label.

Swift announced the full track list for Speak Now (Taylor's Version) last month. She revealed the collaboration on this album through social media.

"Because Speak Now was about writing my song, I decided to go to an artist that I thought most influenced me as a lyricist at the time and asked them to sing on this album," Swift wrote at the time.

"They are very cool and generous because they agreed to support my version of Speak Now."

Together with Castle's Crumble and Electric Touch, this album features four other From The Vault songs, namelyOLOlish One, Timeless, When Emma Falls In Love, and I Can See You.

Speak Now (Taylor's Version) marks its third re-recorded album, after Fearless (Taylor's Version) and Red (Taylor's Version) in 2021.

Meanwhile elsewhere on this week's chart, Wham! taking second place with the compilation album The Singles: Echoes From The Edge Of Heaven, while Gabriels is in third place with Angels & Queens.
