Echoing Gypsy Jazz, Soykhi Prepares First Album

JAKARTA Soykhi will release their first album in the near future. However, they have not explained in full about the release schedule.

Judging from Instagram, the process of cultivating the work takes nine days still and is now in the mixing and mastering stage.

"Tomorrow there should still be another recording session one day, but how come today it feels all finished. All revisions and some sound effects have been finished today," they opened.

"So with this the process of documenting music for the full album Sökhi officially BUNGKUSSHHHH!!! After 9 days of full we enter @lima Tujuhstudio.

"It's hard for @billypraharjo @raiikhwans @stevevirgian for all the energy and time given, don't forget to thank you profusely for @erezagandi @rolandasasongko and Batara for their cooperation in the process of making this album!".

"All the recording results for 9 days will enter the mixing and mastering stage, hopefully they can enjoy it with all of your friends soon. Oh yes, thank you also to friends who have listened to the video process yesterday to this day," concluded the jazz gyry unit.

Please note, gyrypsy jazz is a type of music that contains the acculturation of traditional music of the Gypsy tribe (Romani) and jazz music. This genre, is synonymous with the use of acoustic guitar because the characteristics of this musical game lie in the guitar playing technique.

One of the figures who popularized this type of music was Total Reinhardt. In fact, one of the Employees of Avenged Sevenfold, Synester Gates, is one of the musicians who introduced a similar genre at this time because of his music educational background.

Not only international musicians, now the genre is present in songs from the band from Jakarta, Sookhi, such as Let's Go Max (2019), Bung (2022), Puan (2022), and many others.
