JAKARTA - In an interview with Robert Cavuoto from Metal Rules, drummer Charlie Benante revealed about Anthrax's new album, the follow-up to the album For All Kings which was released 6 years ago.

"We're actually going to start recording new albums in two weeks. So that's great," said Benante.

Unraveling why Anthrax took so long to complete the process of writing their latest full album, the drummer said.

"If we weren't hit by this global pandemic problem, it might have come out two years ago, three years ago. But we all know what happened. But now, because some of the [written] songs before the pandemic hit me, that song has been around for a long time.

"So now there are a lot of new songs that are included in the mixed stage. So that's a good thing. You'll never feel enough... We're still working on longer songs because we really like a lot of it."

Earlier in January, Benante informed Ruben Mosqueda in the We Go To 11 program that Anthrax plans to enter the studio this spring to start recording new albums.
