JAKARTA - Metallica released the title track for their latest album, 72 Seasons.

This album marks the full collection of the first new material for the thrash metal icon since the album Hardwired... To Self-Destruct (2016).

Produced by Greg Fidelman, as well as founding members James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, the album will be released on April 14.

In November last year, Metallica released Lux Laugherna's first single followed up with Screaming Suicide in January and If Darkness Had A Son earlier this month.

Now, James Hetfield shares a seven-minute title track, which you can watch the web video below.

"72 seasons. The first 18 years of our life that formed us are right or not. The concept that we are told 'who are we' by our parents. It is possible to find out what kind of personality we are," said James Hetfield.

I think the most interesting part of this is a follow-up study of the core's beliefs and how it affects our perception of the world today. Most of our adult experience is the expression or reaction to this childhood experience. Childhood prisoners or free themselves from the bonds we carry."

The new album also marks the first time bassist Robert Trujillo has made a vocal contribution to Metallica's album.
